TVM Capital Healthcare was established in 2009, as a Category 3A licensed fund manager operating out of the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), Dubai, and was the region’s first private equity firm dedicated exclusively to the healthcare sector.
In four years of operations, we have established ourselves as a developer of healthcare business concepts, as well as an investor and leader in building growth businesses in private healthcare in the MENA region. TVM Capital Healthcare’s strength is the breadth and depth of its international relationships, its strong local presence, excellent investors and partners in Fund I, such as the IFC, Olayan Group, GE Healthcare, and Crescent Enterprises.
The firm has the proven ability to bring top-rated Western service providers, operators and products to the MENA region. We create and grow pioneering companies, supported by our partnerships with strong international healthcare institutions such as the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network (a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital), Joslin Diabeters Center (an independent, non-profit institution affiliated with Harvard Medical School), or Bourn Hall Clinic, Cambridge, UK (the world’s first IVF clinic). Other partners include Barkawi Consulting, a fast growing international strategy and customer value chain management consulting firm that supports the development of strategic roadmaps for the profitable growth of all our portfolio companies. These companies thrive on customer (patient) satisfaction and therefore, supply chain and service excellence is of critical importance.
With its first regional fund, TVM Capital Healthcare invests primarily in attractive healthcare businesses that solve problems in the healthcare sector of the communities they operate in and have the potential for rapid and profitable growth. A second focus of the Fund is the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry, including, but not limited to, the manufacturing, sales and distribution, in-licensing, and importation of pharmaceuticals, medical device and medical technology companies, as well as logistics and other businesses in the pharmaceutical, medical device and hospital management value chains.
