The growing demand for energy, which is constantly increasing and now paramount in any discussion on world economic development, is currently addressed from a variety of different sources: fossil fuels, coal, nuclear and renewable energy. It is now clear that the latter, also in the wake of ever-increasing technological innovations and by virtue of the environmental appeal, will become an increasingly important and central component of this energy mix.

The first objective is to reduce the percentage of CO2 emissions – as it has long been asserted by the Kyoto Protocol and subsequent international agreements – in relation to the effects of greenhouse gases.

The second, no less important, is to achieve greater independence from fossil fuels and other non-renewable sources: increasingly expensive, harder to find, less healthy and more dangerous in terms of refinement and use.

Renewable energy also has the advantage that it can be installed in much more stable areas, available to everyone and less constrained by political and governmental issues.

Building Energy’s mission is, therefore, to develop its business in countries where it has already been successful, consolidating major projects, and to enter those countries with high potential in the renewable-energy sector, and whose governments support renewables in order encourage and attract both foreign investors and companies able to develop financial instruments and handle the construction of renewable energy plants
